It was a beautiful day it had just stopped raining and now everything glistened. Keiji wandered into the Ouran maze with a bright smile on. He greeted a few girls with a devilish smile and kept walking, the girls swooned as he left. He chuckled, they were so foolish and so accepting to him. It was strange, yes, but it brightened his day.
Keiji hummed a little tune as he took a stroll. Today was going to be great, he was sure of it. As time passed less and less people were in the elaborate maze. Keiji did not care though, being alone was not that big of a deal. He enjoyed it but even a loner needs friends.
"Oh, what a beautiful statue! I must be in the heart of the maze..." Keiji pondered as he stared at the large statue with water pouring into the fountain. It glistened in the light. He hurried to the fountain and sat on the ledge. A few stray drops of water managed to hit his head. He only laughed in joy of the beauty that this place held.
The serenity was almost eerie however. It was almost sad about how happy he was, with no one. When he was little he would hold his mama hand and walk with her in the park, smiling with out a care. Now he walked alone, with no hand to hold and no smile to carry. Yet he could not help but feel joy because people were around him. He could never let them see him sad.
A tear rolled down his face among the droplets of water pouring from the elegant statue. No one knew he was an unhappy person because he put others in front of himself which made him foolish in many ways.
Life was better now he was gaining friends. He joined the knights host club. Led by the beloved Hiroshi, the girls adored him, the guys wanted to be him. He was perfect. Keiji was just lucky to become friends with someone like him.
For years he envied Tamaki and for what? To be rejected. It was hard to believe that another person in his life would just discard him. It was true that he and Tamaki could have been great friends but now he is nothing more than a rival, an enemy.

((OOC: How about we show a little hostility between the Knights and the Host Club?))
"Damnit, damnit, damnit..." The muttering was coming closer to the statue that was the center of the maze constructed of blooming rose buds. Haruhi was wondering the maze, her bag over one shoulder trying to make it back to the school and the third music room for club activities. But she was lost. Well and truly lost. She ran a hand through her hair as she came across the statue and cursed again- "Damnit! I just came from here!" Looking around she spotted a boy sitting by the statue. He looked to be one of the Knights. The Ouran Knights.
"Hey!" She called to him. "You don't have any idea of how to get out of here do you?" She asked him, looking down all the possible routes- pathways between the bushes of blooming flowers. It was hard to know which way was which. She'd walked around for so long that her sense of direction had been completely thrown off. "I need to get back to school or I'm going to be late for my club." Tamaki was going to go nuts if she didn't turn up on time. The coffee she'd bought yesterday might soften the blow but at this rate she wasn't going to get there before the end of club, let alone be there on time. Running her hand through her hair again and frowning in annoyance. This was so frustrating...
Turning back to the boy, her bag swinging, she placed her hands on her hips still frowning and said. "Please, it's really important that I get out, and I can't find my way. How the hell do you get out of here?"
Gx ((OOC: Dang that was short. Keiji can mistake her annoyance at the situation for annoyance at him if you like? And that can spark off some kind of argument...?))

"Eh? Ummmm.....uh..crap." Keiji looked up and saw none other than Haruhi. He seemed clearly lost and clearly pissed off. Truth was he didn't know were they were either, he was too busy in his own world.
As Haruhi pressed on Keiji looked with a dumb stare. " Hey, Do you have something against me?" he stood up and gave a hard stare, " Its not my fault you're lost..." He trailed off looking down. This Haruhi kid is strange.....
"Well I think I could maybe find a way out....it can't be that hard could it?" he winced, it was the freaking heart of the maze. How are you supposed to get out???
Haruhi's annoyance sparked the anger within Keiji. He fought back to hold the raging emotion but he could help but stifle a cold, hard stare.
(( I'm in a tad of a rush so its very short))

Haruhi's frown deepened, and her arms folded in a defensive gesture. This guy was being awfully rude. Maybe she hadn't asked in the nicest way but what kind of jerk was he? She was lost and upset- anyone could see that. What was his moto- kick them when they're down or something?
"Never mind." She said in as dignified a voice as she could manage. No way was she going to be talked to the way he had talked to her. Maybe he was using that tone because she wasn't as rich as him? Well fine, she didn't need his help. "I'll find my way out on my own. No need to be rude."
And with that she turned on her heel and started to huff her way down one of the passages that would undoubtedly get her even more lost. She didn't care though. She hadn't walked this way before and everywhere else had led her no-where. She needed to get back to the school.
"Bloody rich kids with no manners..." She muttered under her breath as she continued to walk away...

"Ugh... wait." Keiji ran forward to Haruhi as he walked away. As he caught up he explained "I'm sorry, do you want help?" He gave a weak smile. It was no use fighting. He didn't need to get on his bad side. Keiji though for a moment about how he got here. I walked, took a left, ran into a girl.....Ummmm lets seee....
" I think I know the way. If you still want directions that is. No use to get more lost now is it?" He flipped his wet hair out of his eyes showing off the deep blue color. Haruhi always seemed nice. It was strange seeing him so angry. Whatever.
" I do have manners. I just never was around anyone to show it." he showed his puppy dog eyes to explain that he didn't understand how to act around people. It was unnatural to him.
"I'm not that rich you know..." Keiji muttered at barely a whisper. All he had was his parents' inheritance but that couldn't last much longer. He was denied a scholarship so he had to pay with his own money for tutition and he worked all the time if not at school. It was sad but true.
Haruhi was giving him a bit of the silent treatment but that was expected. Keiji was a bit rude to him. He made a little squak as he tried yet again to open his bracelet. It became, like a hobby to him, trying to open the little locket. Whatever I give up.
((Hope you don't mind the silent treatment bit. And Keiji doesn't like to fight yet sometimes he ends up getting into them so. If you want to keep fighting thats fine but Keiji gonna wanna fix it in the end))

Haruhi sighed and gave in. She hadn't asked that nicely so she couldn't expect him to have replied with perfect manners. Stopping she placed her hands on her hips and blew a lock of hair out of her eyes. Looking around she decided that she would have to trust him. She didn't have a clue which way to go. She was well and truly lost. Her only hope landed with this boy.
"Okay then." She sighed, resigned to her fate. Then she smiled a little. "Sorry, I'm just stressed a little. I'm Fujioka Haruhi-" She held out a hand. "It's nice to meet you and I would be very grateful if you helped me out of this maze. Because I'm brave enough to admit that I am... well... Completely lost." She laughed and looked around again. She should have put sign posts in here or something. There was no way of knowing where you were or where you were going or how to get to where you wanted to go.
She suspected that students who had been at the school since elementary school knew their way around easily but having only entered at the highschool stage Haruhi didn't really know everywhere just yet.

Keiji flashed a wide grin. Haruhi wasn't that bad once you get to know him. "Well I'm Itsunawa Keiji. If you didn't know." Haruhi extended his hand. He tilted his head kindly and shook the extend hand. " Nice to meet you now that we are properly introduced." He dropped haruhi's hand and kept walking. "Hm I think its going to rain again soon. Ahh and it was so nice out too. If its a thunderstorm I will really be upset!" Keiji complained. The smell of rain was in the air again.
" Ummmm we take a right here." Keiji explained to Haruhi so he wouldn't get lost a second time. As he turned right he took of the blue coat of his uniform. If was going to rain then there was no use of getting it soaked. He wrapped it up and stuck it in the bag with a few book in it. It wasn't cold yet so he didn't care besides its better if he catches a cold then having to pay for drycleaning.
" So Fujioka-kun, if you knew you had to get to your club why did you decide to go in maze?" Keiji just realized. It was pretty silly of him really.

Haruhi laughed realising how it must have seemed to Keiji.
"Well, I didn't know that I was going to get lost! The maze is one of the few places I can get away from people. It's nice to be popular and have people like you when you're part of the Host Club but it can get annoying if you want some peace and quiet. I came out here about an hour again, sat down for a while and then couldn't remember how to get back out again!" She said with a smile. She expression had become a little forced when he'd mentioned a thunderstorm but she'd been walking slightly behind him so he couldn't have noticed. Looking up at the clouds that had started to move in she swallowed. Could it really be a thunderstorm...? She hoped not...
Slowly she began to feel slightly droplets of rain drip on her as they walked through the maze. Then a loud slow roll of thunder could be heard. The hairs on the back of Haruhi's neck stood up and she swallowed. It was okay... It was far off, and it hadn't started to properly thunder yet... She could handle this... The rain started to come down heavier.
"I think we better run!" Haruhi said to Keiji as a large drip hit her nose.
Gx ((OOC: Keiji wanna grab her arm now? That could be the excuse- grab her arm to make her run so they can get out of the rain. And Tamaki could be looking for her because he knows she's afraid of thunder! Good call on the thunderstorm idea Keiji!))

((Thank you it took me like five minutes to think of it))
A roll of thunder could be heard in the far off distance. He saw out of the corner of his eye Haruhi jump a little. He shrugged and kept going. As he explained how he was here a hour ago and had been lost since was actually kinda funny. He held in a laug and just gave a smile.
The rain started to pour hard. Strange it was nice a few seconds ago. That shows you how unpredictable Japan's weather is. All he could do know was hurry to get out of this cursed maze. Which of course is no fun.
"Agh wait!" Keiji reached forward to Haruhi. Being the clumsy person he is he slipped on the wet ground and Haruhi was clearly a faster runner. but he mananged to catch him and was in a way dragged by Haruhi.

The gentle thumping of raindrops on the roof awakened Tamaki. Ordinarily, he was not concerned about a little drizzle. But in today's case, thunder threatened to shroud the area with storms and Tamaki anxiously paced the hallways outside the 3rd Music Room while everyone else was busy entertaining their guests. He was too worried. Haruhi was late-- again. But today, Tamaki wore his serious expression of sheer agony, waiting for his daughter to safely arrive. He knew of her fear for thunder and didn't know what to do. Tamaki pressed his hands on the window pane and sighed, wearing an adorable but concerned look on his face. He was not in the uniform of the host club today. He didn't have TIME to put one on since he was growing overly concerned and decided to wait outside in the halls.
Just then, a few girls passed him walking towards the end of the hallway. They all sighed. "It's too bad. I thought Haruhi-kun would be here today." One of them said and the others nodded. Another girl raised a finger. "I heard someone say Haruhi-kun went outside earlier and went into that maze in the garden." The girl said and Tamaki froze. Now if you were a commoner, not to mention a newbie at Ouran, the maze was something to be avoided. There was no way Haruhi could've found her way out of it.
Tamaki broke into a sweat and also into a run. He sprinted down the stairways and through the halls. Then, he broke outside, where the drizzle was slowly becoming a hard rain. He looked beyond the yards and panted, then made way to sprint towards the maze now. The green shrubbery was beautiful, but in the thunderclad rains, looked menacing. He made his way through the turns and twists of each corner and heard distant footsteps and voices calling out. Tamaki's chest throbbed. It MUST be Haruhi! He tore off and shouted in the rain. "Haruhi!!" His serious tone shone through.
Once he rounded the corner, he saw two students wearing the blue uniforms. His eyes widened. Was someone else tugging at Haruhi? Who was this person? The rain had come onto full drench now and the drops of water bounced on the grass, turning it into a field of mud. Tamaki saw Haruhi's panicky face and immediately brought a kick down onto this boy who was tucking along with Haruhi. He was now face to face with Haruhi.
Taking off the jacket of his uniform, Tamaki drapped it wordlessly around Haruhi and made sure it shrouded the top of her head. He rubbed her arm and put a protective hand on one of her shoulders, as if building a shield between her and the thunder. He looked serious and eyed the stranger. "Who are you?" His firm and serious voice echoed in the midst of the rain.

"Ugh....grrr. WHAT WAS THAT FOR?! And I'm Itsunawa Keiji by the way." He added rudely at the end. What was up with this guy. Keiji didn't do anything wrong. Did he? He stood up and stared at the blond boy. What on Earth was his problem. And the way he jumped on Haruhi was just strange.
" What are you doing? You don't need to protect Haruhi. I didn't do anything to him. Why would I? You're treating him like...um...whats the word I'm looking for? Oh, I know your girlfriend. Which is wierd." Keiji added scornfully. This guy just attacked for no reason.
He shook out his hair a bit more so he could get a better look at this guy. His eyes widened and his muscles tensed. It was Tamaki. The guy that made him feel unwelcome in this school. He could never be forgiven.

Haruhi blinked. Everything had happened so fast she hadn't been able to take it in or react. She'd heard a voice calling her name, one that sounded a lot like Tamaki- then a foot had slammed into Keiji, knocking him off his feet, and a blazer was draped over her head and shoulders.
Looking up she saw Tamaki standing beside her, his hand was rested on her shoulder. His shirt was slowly getting soaked as his blazer was protecting her from the rain. Reaching up she held the jacket tight around her face, the material muffling the dull sounds of thunder that were slowly approaching. Then she heard Tamaki accusing Keiji and Keiji's words that he was acting as if Haruhi, she, were Tamaki's girlfriend.
Haruhi would have laughed if she hadn't been so frightened. She wasn't anything like that to Tamaki-senpai. It was just his crazy idea of family, and how she was his "daughter". She understood that Tamaki didn't have the best home life in the world and he'd made the Host Club as a family. Haruhi just fell into the category of daughter because she was the only girl.
Reaching out she gently gripped the front of Tamaki's shirt.
"No senpai. It's not like that Keiji and I were just talking. It's fine." Looking at Keiji she smiled as bravely and nonchalantly as she could. "It's really not like that Keiji, it's complicated. It's fine." She wondered why she was reassuring both of these boys when they probably cared very little about what she thought but there it was... And the storm was getting closer, it was making her thought processes slow.
Suddenly a loud rumble of thunder, louder than the one before made her tense. It was okay... It wasn't near here yet... It was just rumbling far in the distance- no crashes of thunder yet. She knew that Keiji wouldn't be able to tell her fright but Tamaki might through the tensing of her muscles under his hand. She realised that she still had hold of the front of his shirt but it didn't occur to her to let go...

The guy stumbled back and was apparently enraged. Tamaki paid no heed at first. He felt Haruhi's hands come up to gently grasp the front of his shirt. Tamaki's own hand on her shoulder gripped a bit tighter. She was tense and scared, he could tell. And all he wanted to do was get her out of here as soon as he could. He looked at her face when she spoke and told him that this guy who was just knocked down meant no harm. Tamaki's serious expression loosened a bit as he realized his mistake. He looked up at Keiji in the pouring rain and his eyes softened. "Oh..." He said without the edge in his voice now. "You're..." Tamaki had mistaken this guy for an enemy but he did not let go of Haruhi.
Tamaki looked over to this Keiji person. He suddenly noticed that the guy grew tense upon catching a clear view of Tamaki's face and Tamaki merely stared on. Very distant roars of thunder rumbled and the sky flashed a white streak of lightning every so often. The rain relentlessly poured onto the fields, drenching every shoulder of everyone here. Tamaki's blazer rested tightly on Haruhi's shoulder as she tensed under the limp protection from the thunder. Tamaki knew he had no time to spare, especially while talking outside in this pouring rain when anyone could catch a cold. Tamaki put both his hands on Haruhi's shoulders and used his body to shield her from sound.
"Itsunawa-kun..." Tamaki's solmen voice came, but this time more polite. "Let us go inside first to talk." He said and looked at the corner he just cut in. Then suddenly, Tamaki's eyes widened. Darn... he didn't know the way he took. He hoped to dear God that this Keiji person standing in front of them would know how to get back and lead the way... Whispering so only Haruhi could hear, Tamaki gently said in a brush voice, "Hold on just a bit longer, Haruhi." He said inaudibly to her and smoothed the blazer out a bit and patted her on the shoulder.

Keiji's eyes softened. He could refuse the offer to go inside to talk. It was pouring rain and it was no use fighting. "Ok. I know the way out." He calmly started to walk and sighed. There was no point fighting now was there?
He turnede back to make sure Tamaki and Haruhi were keeping up. Then he turned back and kept going.
As he neared the exit he stopped and turned around, waiting for them to catch up.
Tamaki was so protective of Haruhi. It was strange, yes, but friends stick to together in that club. They were like a dissfuctional family almost. It was getting cold but the rain was letting up and the thunder was almost completely gone. The trip back to the school was solemnly quiet. however he could have swore that he heard whispers behind him but he disregarded it. It was probably just the wind. As he thought about this the wind picked up. A chill ran down his spine.
Keiji smiled as he saw the school nearing towards him. He picked up the pace alittle as he rushed to a dry area. He turned around, flipped his hair and waited for Tamaki and Haruhi to get over where it was dry.

Haruhi held in the urge to gasp in gratitude as the school came into sight. They passed a corner of rose bushes and there it was- it's architecture a pleasure to the eye even when the large clouds loming threateningly overhead were shadowing it in a gloomy light. At the moment Haruhi couldn't care less for the intricate stone workings of the buildings. All she cared about right now was the fact that in them, inside the classrooms she would be able to block out some of the sound- some of that noise that froze her muscles and sent her heart into a rapid rhythm.
They jogged for the sheltered awning, the stone masonry blocking out some of the sound. But not all. It wasn't gone yet. Straightening a little- she really didn't want Keiji to know of her fear. She took off Tamaki-senpai's blazer from over her head and finding a dry spot tried to dab away some of the water that had soaked through his shirt.
"Sorry senpai." She said. "Thank-you for the jacket, it's too wet for you to wear now though. You're going to be wet for the rest of the day." She smiled weakly. She then turned to Keiji- "Thank-you so much for you help getting out of the maze." Her smile this time was a little more confident as the noise of thunder had faded some... but then it happened.
A flash of lightening assailed the courtyard, sending shafts of light through the arches of the walkways and a deep boom of thunder clashed through the skies.
Haruhi felt every muscle inside her clench and a small squeak escaped her as her hair stood on end.
"U-um... Sorry if you'll just excuse me, I need to um..." And without coming up with a decent excuse, Haruhi ran away as fast as she could towards the nearest door that led to inside the building.
She ran down the corridor, turned a few corners and then found an alcove in the wall. It held a small pedestal with an antique tea pot on. Carefully in her fright, she moved the pedestal to one side so that it was no longer in the center of the alcove and slid in next to it. Crouching down low in the recess, her arms wrapped around her legs and her forhead rested on her knees, she heard her own laboured breathing and the rush of her heart beat. And she sat, ready to wait out the storm...

[colorc=cadetblue] Tamaki, still holding onto Haruhi protectively, walked slowly as his eyes darted from the path to her every so often, as if making sure she was alright. Passing the rose bushes and the huge shrubbery, they finally managed to make it to dry ground. Tamaki's grip of Haruhi slowly loosened as she handed back his blazer. He took it gently and realized he was entirely drenched, from head to toe. Tamaki shook his hair and water droplets dropped onto the ground. Then, he wrung out the blazer and water poured from it.
A close strike of lightning followed a thump of roaring thunder that blazed upon them. Tamaki's eyes widened and he barely had time to gaze over to Haruhi before she took off running towards another distant building. "Haruhi!" Tamaki yelled after her and following her direction and forgetting about his blazer, which he dropped to the ground, Tamaki took off and sprinted towards the direction she went soaring to.
He didn't care what Keiji thought. All his brain could basically function for was getting to Haruhi. And sure enough, as he slowed towards a tunnelway, he heard the echoes of a scared cry ring in the hallway. He walked in, his hair drenched again along with his clothes and walked towards the alcove. "Haruhi..." Tamaki said and bent forward to her. He put a hand on her head and with his other free hand, gently took hers.
Tamaki pulled her out and embraced her into a warm hug, even though his clothes were absolutely soaking. He put his head ontop of hers and sunk down to lean against the wall, drowning out the distant rumbles of thunder.

Haruhi didn't realise that Tamaki had followed her. She'd been too blinded by fear to notice his cries or hear his foot-steps. Suddenly she felt a comforting hand on her hand and another prised one of her hands away from where they were wrapped around her knees.
The strong hands drew her to her feet and took her into an embrace. Realising that Tamaki had followed her down the corridors and come to help her, her grip tightened around his waist. As he leant against the wall, she leant further into him, her face buried in the front of his wet shirt. She didn't know what it was about thunder. Nothing else frightened her. Nothing. Not snakes, not bugs, not the dark- nothing frightened her except thunder. Maybe it was the idea that you couldn't see what was making it- it was just a deep booming that filled the air. Or maybe that it represented lightening that was so fast and unpredicatable it could strike you down before you even knew what was going on. But somehow thunder quickened her heartbeat till she could feel it pounding in her chest, tensed her muscles to the point where they began to sting, and caused sweat to break out along her hairline and between her shoulder blades. It terrified her...
As another clash came from outside, her grip tightened again, her fingers clutching fistfuls of Tamaki's shirt, and holding on stead-fastly. She was glad someone was with her. It had been hard waiting through the storms on her own as a child. Her father had always been at work. She'd found the smallest place she could fit- usually under the table and waited it out. That was the easiest way to do it.
But that time at the beach when a storm had rolled in, she'd discovered that having someone with you was ten times better than being alone.
She could feel damp on her cheeks from where she was crying without meaning to. Tamaki was drenched through because he'd given her his blazer, a blazer that in a distant part of her mind she registered as missing. He must have dropped it at some point.
Another boom, this time smaller and quieter, caused her previously loosening grip to turn tight again, and she pressed her face closer to his shirt.
"Thank-you..." She murmured into the material, as she just held on to him...

"Wha---?" Keiji was dumfounded. Haruhi took off running then Tamaki soon followed. As he stood, utterly puzzled, he pulled out the blazer that he kept in his bag and put it back on for extra warmth.
He walked silently and completely confused. As he kept walking and thinking he wondered what was up with them. Haruhi could be afraid of thunder and lightning, yes, but Tamaki's strange reactions were questionable. As neared another alcove he spotted a blond boy and another entity.
Ugh. He hated public displayes of affection like that. It was downright annoying. As he neared the pair he realized it was Tamaki....and Haruhi.
His confusion grew even more. He stopped right in front of them. Haruhi was pressed against Tamaki's chest and it was just strange. His head tilted to the side. He was speechless. Yet his mind screamed what was going on.
"Wha---??"

The thunder rolled on but softened now as Haruhi slowly let go of her grasp on Tamaki. He looked into her eyes as she uttered a thanks, cheeks still dripping with tears. As a father, he hated seeing his children cry and it made Tamaki feel as though he was helpless in this situation. A voice interupted them and Tamaki turned his head to face whom it was. Of course... Keiji. It must've been strange, seeing the two of them in this position. However, he didn't care what he thought about them. As the thunder passed, roaring ever so slightly now, Tamaki stood and pulled Haruhi up gently, smoothing about her hair slowly and wiping the last tear from her eye. "Oh yea..." he said, smiling slightly. "It's ok, Itsunawa-kun. I guess we're close like family this way. I want to protect my family." Tamaki offered this explanation.
"Let's go in quickly." Tamaki said, this time not allowing for any time of rumbles to get in between their conversation. "Please, Itsunawa-kun." He held out his hand for Keiji to go first. The sun had already begun to clear itself and the rain slowed to a small drip-drop.

Haruhi noticed Keiji just as Tamaki spoke. Looking over her shoulder at him, she jumped away from Tamaki a little, looking embarassed. She wasn't used to relying on others to make her feel better. It was just her luck that on the one day she did permit herself such a luxury, someone saw her and it compromised her position in the Host Club.
Smiling nervously Haruhi nodded that they should move further into the building where the sound of thunder would dwindle. She had been so frightened that she had only ran down a few corridors before hiding in the alcove. Turning to Keiji she tried to undo some of the damage that had been done to her "male" image.
"Sorry Keiji. It's not what it looks like- I'm just... I'm just very afraid of thunder and like Tamaki-senpai said- we try to act as a family in the Host Club, and he was just helping me. I'm not sure why thunder frightens me so much, but it does. I can't move and it terrifies me." The sweat that had dampened her hairline was evidence that what she said was the truth. "Please don't say anything to anyone- I wont get many designations at the Host Club if all the girl's think I'm a wimp."
It was a lame cover-up, and she didn't doubt that there was a possibility Keiji would work out that she was a girl- or think her gay and in love with Tamaki. And she didn't like telling him about her fear. But she loved her time at the Host Club more than she did about keeping her secret to herself. If she had to tell one person about her secret to stay in the Host Club then she was willing to.
"Please don't say anything." She said, and then tensed a little again as one of the last very small rolls of thunder could be heard. It was going away... Thank God for that...
