Age: 16
Birthday: May 14th
Year and Class: 2b
Zodiac Sign: Taurus and in Hindi that would be Vṛṣabha
Personality and Appearance
Personality: Preity is very shy, and horrible at meeting new people. She won't be comfortable around you for weeks, maybe even months. Don't expect her to respond well to even the friendliest of greetings. Most likely Preity will stutter and blush through the whole conversation. Also she hates confrontation, so she never admits when you've done her wrong.
With people that she knows well she is a lively and friendly person. She can be engaging, intelligent, and even flirtatious if she knows you well enough. Perhaps you could even hear her sing or see her dance. As well as very loving. Preity has no siblings of her own, but has developed a maternal instinct from taking care of her younger cousins. Her family is large but very dear to her as they are almost her only friends. Mostly due to the fact that most of them live together back in India

Appearance:
Preity has beautiful big green eyes set in an innocent face. She has a mess of thick wavy black hair that goes down to her waist. Her skin is a creamy golden color. Which is what is desired in India. On her forehead Preity always has a bright red bindi to represent that she is unmarried. Her hair is usually kept down much to the disappointment of her mother. Who would much prefer it up in a more "lady-like" fashion. Preity usually has bangles on even with her school uniform. Despite her shyness she still wears clothes and make-up that sometimes draw attention to herself.
History
History:
Preity was born in Calcutta, India on May 14th, 1991. She is her parents one and only child. Her father calls her his pride and joy, but her mother is a bit cold. Preity's mother is intent on making Preity the perfect Indian girl. Her childhood was filled with manners, singing, and dancing lessons. As well as plenty of time spent with her cousins. To escape the often-times boring atmosphere at home Preity would often go off exploring. Though not to her mother's knowledge of course. She made friends with the a few of the poor people that she was told were dangerous. They showed her a bit of the real world, and how hope can make everything better. It got harder to sneak out as she got older but she still tried.
Despite the modern day Preity lives in a world where woman are still less than men. There is the very real chance of an arranged marriage. In fact Preity's Uncle has already picked a choice. One who happens to be very arrogant and possessive. Preity's father on the other hand just wants her to be happy, and of course well educated. So along with her social classes she had the best tutors in History, Science, Math and four language classes: English, French, Latin, and Japanese.
Japanese was her own choice (when she was ten) as she had always been interested in the country. Just two months ago her dad's company had a successful merger with a Japanese company. He heard about Ouran from the president of this company and decided to enroll Preity for her own benefit. The only way Preity's mom was convinced was that she would still take her social classes.
